4 out of 5 stars Works great! For today's firewire cable prices, there is no need to spend more than $5 (including shipping)   May 15, 2008
Pros:
- It works fine. (Used on a Sony digital video cam and Macbook)

Cons:
- not gold tip as shown on the pic. (Do not expect it to have gold tips for this price anyway)
- Cable is black, again not accurate as shown.

3 out of 5 stars Working Cable--NOT item pictured   May 14, 2008
This cable was average quality. It fit my sony handycam fine. It looks exactly like the cable that came free with my firewire card--Black sheathed cable with silver connections. It is not the item pictured by "Clear"AV. I think their company and item name are purposely misleading. I wasn't looking for a "monster" cable--it's a digital interface, either it works or it doesn't. I expected something that had better quality material or craftmanship than a freebie, but it's not.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing price, works well   May 11, 2008
I had my doubts because of the extremely low price, but it came right on time and worked perfectly with my camcorder. My other choice would have been to spend $25 on the same thing at Target, and I'm glad I bought this one.

5 out of 5 stars It's cheap and it works perfectly fine   April 29, 2008
I cannot see any reason not to get this cable. It's very cheap, and it works like... any cable does. Data transfer speeds are what you would expect from a firewire connection.

4 out of 5 stars Umm, mine didn't have the gold plating.   April 26, 2008
I got mine from Vortex Cable. The shipping was with in two days with standard shipping. I bought them with some standard USB cables. They sent the USB cables with the gold plating and the fire wire cables without any gold plating. But for the price, I don't care.

The quality of the fire wire cable is superior to that shown in the picture. It is more durable and a higher quality connector. They are the best fire wire cables I have bought and the cheapest. If the cables breaks, just buy a bunch of them. This is dirt cheap.
