I bought this for my Firewire Drobo in order to make it compatible with my computer's Firewire port. Data transfer speeds are as fast as ever, and the price is very reasonable!

I bought a firewire 800 card as I was told it was the state of the art and backware compatible. I wasn't told that it has a different plug. So I bought this cord. Works great and isn't as bulky as adding adapters.
