Firewire 4-Pin/6-Pin Cable June 4, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This IEEE "Firewire" specification 4-pin to 6-pin cable allows you to connect your camcorders equipped with Firewire ports to your PC or laptop. This allows for very fast transfer of your videos from your captured video on your camcorder to your computer. Using this cable, you can access your "Video Capture Wizard" program that is standard in Windows Vista Operating System. From there, you can create your own videos, movies and even DVD's using Windows Movie Maker and DVD authoring programs that are either installed on your system, or purchased and installed (i.e. Nero). This cable makes the tasks simple! Enjoy!
Well Spent $4 June 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the item from VORTEX CABLE although it doesn't have the gold connectors like the picture you couldn't tell the difference in performance if it had them. Using it with a JVC Mini DV and connectors fit fine both sides. You will pay about $36.99 for the same thing at Best Buy.
Works, but different than picture May 22, 2008 I got this cable because my new laptop only has a 4-pin FireWire jack, while my backup hard drives have 6-pins. The cable was shipped quickly and works perfectly. But it is plain black, rather than the see-through silver/white pictured. Not that it makes a difference, but it was a little weird. Overall, a great product and great service.
Are you kidding me!!! May 20, 2008 Hum, let's see. $.97 for a 6 ft DV cable (Firewire). I admit I was also skeptical at first, but after Bestbuy and Circuit City wanted 20-30 dollars for the same product, I decided to give this a try. As mentioned before, aside from the fact the picture is NOT what you get, the cables hook up and work fine on my JVC camcorder. What a deal.! Unless they disintegrate by themselves Mission Impossible style, this is the BEST deal on the planet.
Absolutely Worthless May 17, 2008 6-pin end 1/8" too short; this is obviously a factory second. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
