 Fits the bill May 4, 2008
Needed to test hi def capacity... having no DVI port on my motherboard... it included a HDMI... but my monitor was only DVI/VGA support... so this cable did the trick. And it works great.

Got it connected to my Mac Pro with a x1900xt as my secondary display
it is working fine at 1080p.

They are cheap, well built, and they work. Don't be scammed into paying hundreds of dollars for overpriced monster cables that do the same exact thing. I bought these along with HDMI to HDMI cables and they both work great, and I have an extra $150 in my pocket because I bought them from amazon.

This is a great cable for the price. Its flexible and works well with the MacBok mini-DVI to HDMI cable. The problem is that on a MacBook you will not get sound so watching a movie doesn't work without additional cables. This is NOT an issue specific to this cable but is MacBook problem. The image resolution on an 780p LCD screen is great.
Best way to connect your LCD TV to your notebook April 20, 2008
I had bought an LCD TV recently and was looking up ways to hook up my lappy to the TV. The good ol S-video and analog connections was one option. But having a digitial lappy and a digital TV it didn't make sense to use the analog option and lose video quality. S-video and analog outputs have never been my favorites with previous bad experiences being watching pics on my analog TV from my digicam.
Looked up a host of options and on a post came up with this option. I have a Dell Latitude with a docking station. The Dell docking station is an advanced piece of equipment. These inexpensive piece ($6) of wires hook up to my lappy (DVI) and the other part to my TV (HDMI). The result is no loss of quality. The TV output is as good as my notebook display.
I have had no problems using these cables in contrast to some posts. I have been using these for over 4 months now and have enjoyed the movies and games. Easily the best way to hook up a digital TV to a notebook.
