5 out of 5 stars The best choice for the money   August 29, 2008
I just bought a new high end receiver and flat TV (120 & 1080) and was concerned about cable quality. I read that the $100 dollar cables are not necessary. They were right. From the PS3 to the WII to TV and DVD's everything looks perfect.
Don't be a sucker and buy a more expensive cable.

5 out of 5 stars Good solid cable, works flawlessly   January 7, 2008

Can't say much else about this. It works well with my new upconvert dvd player and my hdtv. Seems well constructed. I almost bought one of those cheaper $2.00 ones, until I noticed even the good reviews mentioned that they seemed flimsy and often caused sound problems.

5 out of 5 stars Don't waste money on the Monster cables   January 7, 2008

I bought several of these 3' Belkin HDMI patch cables and they all work flawlessly.

I wondered if there was anything to be said for the $200.00 HDMI cables at the big box stores, so I also bought one of those and compared them.

Absolutely no difference in quality. So go with the belkin.

4 out of 5 stars Good cables but there are cheaper   November 30, 2007

I've always had good results with the Belkin name so when I decided to upgrade to HDMI I went with them. The prices are better then what you will find in a brick and mortar store but there are cheaper.

The cable is well made and high quality. I had no problem with picture quality or connection issues when setting everything up and like the feel of the cables.

I had a lot of components to hookup so next purchase I decided to try out a cheaper cable that had good reviews. I ended up getting a few of these, Cables To Go - 40315 - 2M (6.5ft) Velocity HDMI Digital Video Cable (Blue), and was not disappointed. They are flimsier than the Belkins but are still a good quality cable. If you'll never touch the cables again after hooking everything else up go with the Velocity but if you plan to mess with the cables on a regular basis the Belkin might be a better idea for you.

4 out of 5 stars HDMI not suitable for Motorola DVR's   November 16, 2007

HDMI cables do not work well with Motorola DVR's. They are slow showing the picture when switched on and do not forward the Close Captioned (CC) signal to the TV. That's why the cable company (Time Warner) suggested the use of a component (3-prong) video cable combined with a two prong audio cable, a solution that--according to tests with other equipment--provides equally good quality as an HDMI cable.
