Logitech Pure-Fi: A Pure Winner October 13, 2008 This is a great little speaker system for use with iPods or other mp3 players ( I use it with an iPod Classic 120 gig ). It's best feature by far is the 10 hour rechargeable battery that make this unit totally portable. They sound great and the battery life is wonderful! Recently took it on a trip to the coast where we had a great little cabin rented. With this unit I was able to have music by the hot tub, front deck where there was a great view of the ocean, in the loft, bedroom, kitchen .. You name it! Anywhere I wanted access to my entire library I had it! It was great!! Totally recommend this product!
Logitec Pure-fi October 13, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
the product is OK but not very impressive, consider its high price at store. The max volume is under middle level , there is also no battery operating option for the out of door enjoyment. If Logitec increase its volume quality and with battery operated option , then it will be a great product
Disappointing for with MP3 players October 10, 2008 I have a Sandisk Sansa e280 which I love! I was very excited to get this external speaker system, especially for the rechargeable battery aspect of it! When I got my original Pure-Fi Anywhere, the unit would turn off after about 2 to 3 minutes while playing on battery power. I exchanged the unit for the new Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 and found the same behavior. What I found out was that I had to set my Sansa's auto shut-off setting to its highest setting otherwise, whatever it was set on is what the Pure-Fi goes by. Even if my Sansa is continuing to play, this setting is what the Pure-Fi went by. I'm not sure how the Pure-Fi will behave with other MP3 players that aren't iPods.
I was also very disappointed in the sound level with both the Pure-Fi and my Sansa at full volume! Not quite as loud as I expected.
Almost great September 22, 2008 Beautiful sound. Easy to use. Perfect size. Works best with the remote. Mine was broken. I returned the whole unit to Amazon, but was told that they did not have a new unit to replace it with. I went somewhere else for speakers.
Logitech Pure Fi Anywhere September 21, 2008 Great product although I'm still trying to figure out how it charges the Ipod. Still learning love it!
