this product has only 4 stations that you can tune your IPod to on the FM dial... I dont know about anyone else, but here in Dallas, everyone of the stations it offers is a regular radio station here, so we cant use it as a trasmitter at all... still able to use it as a charger though - but kind of pointless
 Great at times, horrible at times August 7, 2007
First off, this is well worth the 7 bucks you'll pay for it. This is one of the cheapest FM transmitters you will find, and the fact that is also charges the iPod while you listen to music (or you can just leave it there to charge) makes it even better. You will get mixed reviews on the quality of your music though. Sometimes, the thing works great, sounding better than FM radio stations. Sometimes, like in a city, you can not get it to work at all, because there are other stations on one of the four FM stations you have to choose from.
The lack of stations is also bad. You only have 4, and they are 4 of the most popular stations (all high 100s) because of their wavelength.
If you are just looking for a car charger, this is a great price, and five starts. If you are looking for an FM transmitter, it's 5 stars some times, 1 star some times. I'd recommend it just because of it's price, and it tends to work more than not work.

I've had this product for about 4 months and I haven't been let down at all, considering the price. It's affordable, one wire to the iPod - therefore convenient and very practical.
The downsides include:
1- the iPod connector-end does not have strong springs, where it should it should lock onto the iPod; it has never fallen out for me, however, sometimes I lost sound. Now this was rare, like only twice occuring, but easily fixable.
2- and this is probably my fault, but the 12V car adapter end kinda just popped off when I removed it from the battery female outlet
I am buying a new one, obviously, but I wouldn't go with any other! If you have to pay the 7 bucks twice, or even 4 times, it would still ALWAYS be worth it.
Get this product!
