does the job October 5, 2008 I use the jacket to workout and use the belt clip portion. It works fine.
DLO Action Jacket Severely Damaged My iPod Touch July 25, 2008 I recently purchased the DLO Action Jacket for my new 8GB iPod Touch. The jacket is advertised as "Sport-Ready" and "Perfect for running..." both on the packaging itself and on DLO's website.
A very small piece of velcro is all that fastens the iPod in the case. The recommended orientation of the Action Jacket (Home Button-Side Down) allows the iPod to easily slip out of the case. When running, my iPod Touch was ejected from its case and bounced on the asphalt.
My iPod is now chipped, cracked, and dented in several places.
I do not recommend the DLO Action Jacket. The flimsy design isn't worth risking a $300 iPod. I've purchased products from Incase with much more success--and much less damage done.
Functional, not outstanding May 31, 2008 'Bought this product for 2 purposes: to protect the screen - especially when carrying around. To that end, it's functionally OK. Beyond that, the case itself is rather tight, and the clear plastic over the screen is rather cheap looking. I suppose it's great for exercising, when someone only wants to listen to music --- but this is the iTouch: we want to SEE images and USE the functions. For that, I find myself usually taking the unit out of this case and working with it directly, because the touch screen doesn't work well through the plastic. (I think this will be a problem with all screen protectors, though.) Also, the plastic screen protector tends to stick to the screen, which makes it visually unaesthetic. Re: Carrying around -- the armband is fine, but the clip is big and clumsy. Summary: If you want this to protect your iTouch while exercising and just listening to music, this is a good product. For simple carrying around and protection - while retaining functionality - look further.
Impossible to Get Out and Scratched The Back!!! April 28, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This case is good if you never want to remove your I Touch from it. Once it is in, it is magnetic and impossible to get out. Once I finally forced it out with all my strength (Im 6'2" 220, and regularly frequent the Gym), the back was all scratched. I am going to look for some alternative.
great product. very few complaints February 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
+ves good amazon price. sleek and stylish. armband fits comfortably. ipod fits snugly in case. (i dont know how some of the other reviewers complained cuz its really easy to get in and take out. u just push it out from the other end like a pushpop.)
-ves plastic screen does hav an airbubble effect sometimes but this is a non-issue as i only look at the screen briefly to change song, playlist or volume. i cant imagine why you'd wanna watch videos while its tied to ur arm. i use an adhesive skin (gelaskin combo. great product) on the ipod itself so i only use the case for working out. agreeing with another review the plastic screen does pull up at the edges forcing u to apply more pressure at the edges of the screen (playlist/artist/album shortcut buttons at bottom).
haven't used the belt much yet. i just tried it on once so i can't give a real opinion on it but it seemed functional. overall a good product (especially when considered as a 3 in 1 package)
