Excellent and affordable unit October 30, 2008 This little unit comes without a user's manual, I thought that might be a problem but no, it is the easiest thing to learn how to use. I highly recommend it, there is no need to pay big bucks for another unit. The big plus in my mind is its portability, we have used it in both of our vehicles. My only regret is not getting one sooner.
works well October 30, 2008 gets me to where i'm going pretty darn well. It may not have every private house number but will always get you to the street. Only used it a few times but really like it. Battery does not even come close to 8 hours, more like 3 but have only cycled it through once, will have to see on it. Very easy to use. It seems great on calculating or recalculating routes. Overall I think it is graet.
Nuvi 350 October 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had previously owned a Garmin eTrex that I used for geocaching. This is my first GPS for use while driving and I purchased it based on the positive reviews on Amazon and elsewhere. We recently used this on a 2400 mile driving trip and were satisified with its operation in all respects. Satellite acquisition time was fast and the accuracy of the maps was within my expectations. Garmin's user interface is one of the best I've seen.
My only disappointment came when I went to Garmin's web site to download a user manual and learned that the 350 is a discontinued unit. I feel that this information should have been indicated by Amazon on the product page. I did find the manual eventually and I am happy with my purchase. I trust that if the need should arise, there will not be any warranty issues.
Nuvi 350 Garmin poor support October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Garmin has very poor customer service and support. bought NUVI350 in 2007. Used on several trips. Each time I tried to get service I got a run around from Garmin. Screen has now failed. Garmin wants 175.00 for flat repair service. Can purchase a new one for less. Time to try Tom Tom. Reviews show customers are much more satisfied with their customer support.
This thing has been a nightmare October 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not only did it take me in all kinds of crazy directions and in the wrong place, it totally died on me only 6 weeks after I got it. I changed settings on it and still it did not take me in the right direction on a number of occasions.
Not a good product. Maybe I have a lemon. I will give it one more shot, but that is all. I am very disappointed.
