Rhapsody and Sansa 4 Music Fans October 2, 2008 If you want to hear a lot of new music in a given year, there is no comparing iPod and iTunes with Sansa and Rhapsody. Rhapsody has a huge catalog where you'll find most of what you want to listen to for only 15 bucks a month! That's about the cost of only fifteen tracks on iTunes!
If you actively look for new music, Sansa and Rhapsody are your most economical choice. Pretend you're reading record reviews for a bunch of bands or hear about a bunch of bands from friends. You decide there's about five albums you'd like to hear. If you have a Sansa and Rhapsody-to-Go subscription, you can launch Rhapsody on your PC, hook up your Sansa, and drag and drop those albums to your Sansa device. That's easy! And now you can listen to those albums for as long as you subscribe. How much would that cost on iTunes? 50 bucks everytime you do it!! How much on Rhapsody? 15 bucks a month!!!
No comparison. iTunes is for music listeners, like Steve Jobs, who don't listen to much music. People who want lots and lots of music just steal it these days, but they could be using Rhapsody and a Sansa for a really great price and hearing almost every album they want to hear every year. I have over a thousand CDs and I'm a huge music lover and I find almost everything I'm looking for in the Rhapsody catalog.
Sansa MP3 review October 1, 2008 This was a reconditioned MP3 player, and I would rate the purchase 5 stars except the shuffle option often plays the same group of songs again and again. Otherwise, it was a winner of a purchase.
What's my version? September 30, 2008 First of all, the quality of the player is wonderful. The sound production, the graphics, even the radio reception a great. It also has a great weight to it, it feels well made. Why didn't I give 5 stars?...
Nowhere in the specs did it say what version this player was. I got a version #1, which means that the microSD card can not be larger than 2GB. If I had a version #2, then I could use a larger card. (4-10GB) This would have been nice to know before I ordered it.
Also, the control wheel could be taller. Here's the deal, I have a skin that covers my player. The skin fits so closely to the wheel that my finger doesn't touch the wheel comfortably. I have to point at the wheel if I want to use it. It's minor, I know, but 5 stars needs to be better.
I would recommend this player. My family has 3 Sansa players and they all work very well. Instead of paying more the that ipod, spend that money on downloads. And more microSD cards!
Sansa e280 8g September 30, 2008 Great product. We now have 3 in the family. Best advantage over Apple is FM radio access and ability to increase memory with micro flash drive.
fast service--SanDisk Sansa e280 September 30, 2008 Sent as a gift. Unable to send card because the item was sent directly from manufacturer. The girl had to figure out who had sent her the gift. She did because I had sent her stuff from Amazon before. Also, instruction book only available online.
