Really Great Purchase - Worth Every Penny September 16, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I LOVE this GPS. I bought it for the cell phone blue-tooth capability primarily and it's very clear both for me and the person I'm talking to. I also used the free 1-year MSN Direct and it is also fabulous. I highly recommend this GPS for anyone - so many neat features and very user friendly - easy to use.
Awsome Garmin September 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ordered my first portable navigator from Amazon and I love it and also loved the price when compared to other stores! I love all aspects of the Street Pilot.
GARMIN sTREET PILOT c580 September 16, 2008 I haven't had the unit for very long but have used it several times and have found it to be reliable. It is easy to program routes . Really like the fact that you can increase or decrease volume very easily. I have yet to use the MSN that came along with it but have high hopes that I will be pleased with it... I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to purchase a GPS. Sharon
For the money a lot of GPS September 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my 3rd GPS..the 1st was a C320 which I still have and also a NUVI 200 that was either stolen or lost...in any event I was looking to replace the NUVI 200.
To be honest I was not impressed with any of the NUVI lines. I find the maps to contain way less information compared to the C line.
This is my first TTS GPS and to be honest it took some getting used to as the voice is not as clear as the standard Turn Right in 500 feet voice...but after a day or so it is no problem at all. In fact you can turn off the TTS if you prefer the regular prompts.
I had a real problem getting the Bluetooth to stay paired with my Blackberry Curve...doing some searching I was able to see that by upgrading the BT to the latest software on the GPS it stayed connected
MSN is pretty worthless other than a bell and whistle when it works...I won't be renewing it in a year
Great GPS for the money as this was Top of the Line for Garmin before the NUVI came out..if you don't need the slim GPS get this one
excellent GPS September 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
why would you want a widescreen GPS device? who cares what is on the far left or right of your path! I need to focus on what is in front of me, this exact model is very nice, it is a bit chubby - I would guess for the bigger speakers, plays music with decent quality and the bluetooth option for your phone is loud and clear! the WAAS traffic is the best, more accurate the the step down grade, also has an informative trip counter, GOOD BUY!
