5 out of 5 stars Great Motivator   May 9, 2008
Love this gadget, keeps me motivated to maintain pace when I start to get tired. I'm a novice runner and only use the basics. There are many features that would be great for the fitness fanatic.

4 out of 5 stars Garmin 205 GPS Watch   May 6, 2008
Very happy with the purchase. It's a little expensive for my taste, but their website provides excellent information as well as developer API's to create some pretty impressive applications from the GPS data.
If that's your cup of tea, it's a cool watch.

5 out of 5 stars New Garmin   May 3, 2008
Great ergonomic forerunner. Much improved over the first forerunner. A lot of features, almost too much, more than I will use, however the size, weight are perfect. The features I use are the pace and distance which worked w/i a tenth of a mile at each mile post on my last marathon.

5 out of 5 stars Men and boys...   May 2, 2008
...and the price of their toys.
Actually this is NOT a toy, but a very high-tech, useful device. It is a "toy" only in that it is something you definitely can do without if you are on a tight budget. It IS fun! Especially if you hook up with the Garmin site where you can track your activities on a satellite map. If you're considering buying a gift in this price range for that special, active person, this would be an excellent choice.

4 out of 5 stars Perfect for any level of workout   April 30, 2008

I purchased this product mainly to document my races, however use it for all of my workouts now. You can set the lap time for any distance. I do every mile, so that it logs my mile time as well as beeps per mile so that I'm not constantly checking my wrist. You can choose to monitor even per second, so that when you sync the watch with your computer, you can see your progress through out the run. The watch also notes the elevation/terrain that you're on so you can relate your times. The watch is also great w/biking, rollerblading, etc. Rechargeable w/it's own docking station and it lasts definitely for a half marathon, although I haven't tried any longer. The size is a better fit for females than the forerunner 201, but are essentially identically as far as functions go. Big display and easy to ready while in motion.
