Purchased the Apple iPod classic 80 GB Black (6th Generation) online and was a super purchase. I could not believe how quickly I received it too.

5 out of 5 stars ipod is great, itunes is not.   August 5, 2008

the ipod is a great piece of hardware. While I do find it disturbing that there is no on/off switch for a battery-powered device, it works almost magically. the new ipod has about a week's worth of battery life. The hardware is awesome and it just doesn't crash. itunes, on the other hand, is the worst piece of software I have ever used, and I work for the federal government. If you've never used an ipod before, be forewarned, iTunes will piss you off and make you drop more f-bombs than the prince of whales. Rule of thumb: "nothing makes sense in itunes."

5 out of 5 stars It's all that!   August 5, 2008

The 160G ipod has all that memory, enough to hold a ton of music, and video too. I just wish my laptop had enough memory to match it.

5 out of 5 stars iPod Classic   August 4, 2008

I was very disappointed when I received my 80GB iPod Classic to learn that it was a recondition unit. There were personal movies from the previous owner still on the unit. I paid full price for this unit and expected a brand new unit. The unit also had a number of scratches on the outer case.

I was also disappointed to learn that Amazon lowered the price immediately after I order my unit.

5 out of 5 stars 60's R&R meet iPod 160 and Rocks On....   August 3, 2008

The 160 GB has all the space I was looking for. It is an upgrade from my 30 GB. I am copying my collection of hundreds of 60's R&R records onto my laptop so I can put them into my iPod. I ran out of room in both the PC and the iPod. The 160 takes care of the iPod problem for now but I am still working on the PC space limitation. The 6th Generation 160 is a great iPod with many improvements over it's smaller, but very good, 30 GB sibling.
