My First date with Jill December 1, 2006 7 out of 18 found this review helpful
I knew if I lived long enough that I would have a GPS unit that I could work. I have never seen anything so easy to work. I love this and will have many more dates with Jill. Good work Garmin you have came a long way. Richard Wheeler
I LOVE IT December 1, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I just purchased this product for my company car because I was tired of getting lost and reading maps. I decided to get one now instead of waiting for my company to get me one (who knows how long that would take). I am so glad I invested in one of these. I was crazy to wait this long to get one. It is absolutely great. Simple instructions, simple installation and it took 5 minutes to install. It has clear picture, great sound and gives exact turn by turn directions. Definitely worth the money. I played around alittle bit with the MP3 player but haven't had time to really get into it but the sound is great so i'm sure I won't have any problems hearing the music. I definitely recommend this item.
REMARKABLE November 30, 2006 12 out of 14 found this review helpful
BEST GPS SYSTEM I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! PORTABLE, SO YOU CAN USE IT IN WHATEVER CAR YOU HAPPEN TO BE DRIVING. THE DIRECTIONS AND VOICE PROMPTS ARE UNBELIEVABLY ACCURATE!! WORKS EVEN IN THE RAIN!!
An amazing little device -- even in Boston November 28, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I've always been spatially challenged, a particular liability in a city like Boston, filled with dead-ends, strange 5-way intersections, non-parallel streets, roads that have different names on different sides of the same street, and a sadistic lack of signage. Nevertheless, this faithful little guide shows me around Boston and its environs beautifully.
Admittedly, I have not tried it around too much in the Big Dig tunnels, but it works fine in downtown Boston, in Cambridge, and in the suburbs. It's small, got a beautiful screen, is easy to use, and has a lot of waypoints.
My only small criticims are that its touchscreen keyboard is not QWERTY, and that it could have even more waypoints. Highly, highly recommended.
You never forget your first time November 26, 2006 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
This is my very first GPS and I'll never forget my first time with Jill. My wife and I used it for the first time to drive from San Antonio TX to Yellowstone Park, via a side trip to Boulder CO to see our daughter. And we'll never forget the joys of not being lost and the comfort of having ZERO fear of getting lost. The Nuvi is my friend. We love the voice of Jill. She never becomes exasperated if we don't do exactly as she offers, but if we DO follow her instructions the end result is always spot on.... except for exact street addresses of homes. I suspect that's more of a builder's problem as they assign inexact house addresses than it is a Nuvi problem. Still, home addresses are within a house or two.
The Nuvi-350 is the single most comforting, easy-to-use, perfectly-sized, dynamic, intuitive piece of electronics I have ever purchased. I simply cannot believe that it can and does do what it does. As in another review I read which convinced us to buy the Nuvi-350, I also say: "Insanely recommended."
