Great way to listen to your Stiletto2 in the car June 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This makes the Stiletto2 very easy to use in the car. It just plugs in and you're ready to listen. Before ordering check to make sure that there is a blank FM station in your area. There are none in my area so I can't use the FM transmitter. Luckily I'm using it in a car that still has a cassette player so I bought an adapter for that. The other option is to connect it to a radio that has an external input. A lot of the new ones do.
Love the Radio & Sirius too June 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like any device that depends on reception, it will never work in all areas. satellite radio has reception limitations but if you want great content, you take it where you can get it. With the Stilletto2, the best way to use it is in the presence of WIFI (any headphones can be used and it taps in to the WIFI in seconds). I find it's also great in a car (buy the car kit). If you want to walk around in a non-WIFI area you need good line-of-sight to where the satellite is (need the special headphones/antenna). I only do the WIFI and car and it's been great. It's really a slick design and when you add a multi-gig chip there is tons of storage. Let's not forget the King of All Media, commercial free music......
If you have a Stiletto 2... June 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
...You need this vehicle kit. I've had it for over a month and it works very well. The Stiletto is tolerating connecting and disconnecting from the vehicle kit well- no signs of wear. The FM modulator sound quality is great, but the signal output seems pretty weak. Much weaker than the earlier Sirius units. If you live in a city, a direct connection will be needed IMHO. Love it!
Essential for Car Use January 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you are using a new Stiletto in your care then this is an essential accessory. At first I was worried about the button set up but have to admit that it is far superior from my original series radios design and easy to use while driving. The remote is easy to memorize as well which again makes it easy to use (a standard easy scroll up/down channel button is the only thing that is missing. As now this takes two buttons - up/down and enter).
The antenna extender is extremely long and really is essential since the FM transmitters have been neutered by FCC regulations. If you are in a major city with a lot of radio traffic you will still have difficulties and will probably want to pick up the FM modulator kit as well.
In the end it is worth it. It attaches very easily to my vent and blends well onto my dash. I am a bit snobby about the interior of my car and it looks clean and nice.
