save money buy it June 6, 2008 the stand works perfect. easy set up and very sturdy. i use an mxl mic which is no more than 3 pounds and the stand doesnt tilt. if you go over 4 pounds you should definetly put something on the back of the stand to make sure it doesnt tilt. for the price its good
Okay quality...you get what you pay for May 15, 2008 This mic stand does the job. Quality is sufficient for amateur uses. Price is not bad.
Works great in Texas April 2, 2008 The Boom & Stand work great for me. This combo is not much more than the Stand at Retail Stores here. It's like getting the Boom for nearly nothing. They both are Standard size for the attachments you would expect to use with it. I don't know what the problem was with the Negative Reviwers, but it's all great for me.
Where is the clip? March 31, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
When I ordered this stand, I assumed there was a way to attach my mic to it but now I have to pay 7 more dollars to get a mic clip for it. Only one of these reviews mention there is no mic clip and the product description does not specifically say there is no clip. So if you buy this, make sure you are aware you can't attach the mic to the stand unless you get a clip separately. It doesn't make sense why they don't include a clip.
Great little Boom Mic Stand February 20, 2008 I have used this to do some studio work. A friend loaned it to me. It is very inpressive for a $20 stand. The only thing I would say to be careful of is that you tighten the boom well. I had a mic + shockmount + pop filter and it started heading for the ground. Once I tightened it some more it held fast.
