| Customer Reviews:
Nuvi 370 is groovi July 1, 2008 With so many GPS to choose from, I'm very happy with the Nuvi 370. We live overseas so great having Europe maps preloaded and it has the US maps for when we return/visit. Picked it for its small size, being able to announce street names (not just left or right- very helpful to keep eyes on the road/signs), and bluetooth (so can drive hands free which is required here). I didnt think I'd use the tools but have actually found the currency and measurements converter to be handy. Has walking/biking options so can mark where you left the car and return a different way. Overall, very pleased with purchase and Electronica direct sent it fast.
Great help for travel June 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this to go on a trip to Europe and as a present for my wife to use at home. Worked great, don't bother with the extra cards for translation or navi in Europe...works fine without.
Very Useful Product June 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased the Garmin nuvi 370 just before we left on a trip from Colorado to Arizona. I entered most of our destination addresses into our favorites before we left. This made it easy to select our daily destinations. Plus we found gas stations, restaurants and hotels, on our trip quite easily. While we were in Phoenix, the traffic transmitter nofitied us of congestion and detours. However while in Tucson, the traffic transmitter didn't recognize the detours needed, around major contruction on I-10. Overall is was very helpful and provided useful verbal directions to most places. Since is portable, it could easily be transferred to other vehicles too. Other than the inconsistent response of the traffic transmitter, the only other negative, is that the some areas, the maps can become outdated. But 99% of the time, it is accurate. The cost to get an annual map update is $69.99. If you do a lot of traveling to unfamiliar cities, I would highly recommend it, because it is easy to use and you don't need numberous big paper maps to fumble with, when you travel.
Garmin 370 in Italy June 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great product to use in Europe. I drove from Florence to Venice and back. It took me right to my reserved parking area. From Florence to Pisa and back with a side trip to Lucca. No problems. Florence to Rome one way straight to my hotel which was hard to find even by the local taxis as we were sort of on the outskirts. Then finally from my hotel in Rome to the international airport. Again no problems. I even got it to locate the flight we were on once. At 700 MPH plus I had a problem having it log on more than once though.
If I could add an option it would be to add a view current location. It always wants you to go somewhere. It has the option but it seems to stick to the last location you went to.
If you are using this unit to travel with I recommend you pre-save the locations that are important to you saving time when you are ready to start.
Careful driving in Italy though. Italians are born to drive gran prix style. In autos, Vespas and bicycles. Definitely an experience.
A great choice June 13, 2008 We have not had a GPS before so were a little nervous. We were headed to Europe where we have often gotten lost. However the Nuvi performed admirably almost every time, announcing each turnoff as it approached. We are very happy with our choice.
