 The only mp3 player I want to own! March 12, 2008
PHILIPS MP3 PLAYER...MODEL # PSA612/17
I believe this mp3 player is discontinued for some reason but I was fortunate enough to purchase one at Walmart. ( I got the last one they had!) Anyway, this mp3 player is very user-friendly. While it's attatched to the base around your arm, (THE PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THE ARM BAND AND BASE)if you're running and you want to switch to the next song selection, simply tap the face plate on the right side and you go to the next song without missing a step...no tiny buttons to mess with my head...if i accidently drop it...it doesnt phase it one bit... It's even been exposed to extreme temperatures in the past and i still havent had any problems, sturdy and dependable. It's lets you load songs by playlists, artists, genres, albums...or just play all your songs in a row..you can shuffle also. I NEVER need to charge it. When I remember, I'll just put the thing on charge..but my battery never runs out! I have had this thing for about 4 years. I have never exhausted the storage memory...not even gotten close. The memory is HUGE! The perfect workout companion! I don't leave home without it! I have nothing negative to say about this product. I really hope they start back making it. The people who gave bad reviews must have gotten a refurbished, faulty one. I have had no problems playing or syncing music from my computer at all. I believe you can only use Windows Media Player with it but it works like a charm!

This is a pretty good MP3 player. It's easy to put music on it with Windows Media Player and the battery lasts a long time after the initial charge. It's very sturdy too - I accidently dropped mine on a cement floor and it's totally fine! (It has locked up before but that's easily fixed by pressing the on/off button and up at the same time)
The only problems I have with it are the buttons are a little hard to press and there is no "repeat one song" option.

The sound is great
Over the ear clips on ear buds are nice
The player is disk based and bulky wich I do not mind and the $41 price was to good to pass
This player uses a standard min USB cable so no worries if dog eats the cable ...
The Philips software is needed for the player so it will only run only on XP or giher.
You cannot use this player at all even as USB storage without Phillips software ...
