Good stuff July 17, 2008 The calculator has a high quality finish, and a good, solid feel. The buttons are not as "light" as general calculators, but has a positive click when pressed, very similar to the HP10BII. It's a bit bulky, but as a desktop calculator it doesn't really matter. Quality stuff!
Awesome product July 9, 2008 I am preparing for CFA exam this December. This calculator is the right tool to solve CFA TVM(Time Value Money) problems. Calculation becomes simple. I recommend this product over the older version.
CPA calculator July 4, 2008 I bought this for college but was sold on it when I found out I could use it for my CPA exam
Easy Choice for Actuaries June 26, 2008 For the aspiring actuaries out there, are you deciding over the TI-30X II S or the BA II Plus? Look no further, definitely get this calculator. The speed with which you will be able to compute will vastly improve your performance on the exams.
So far, the calculator has helped me on both exam P and the FM exam.
Excellent functions, friendly user interface June 26, 2008 I needed a financial calc but wasn't sure which to get. I knew of the HP series but found them archaically obsolete with so many ridiculous keypresses you have to basically memorize through route repitition and they are quite slow. I didn't want that. I wanted to use modern technology to assist me. In this case, the BA2+ has an intuitive interface with the labels for keypresses appearing on the screen itself and scroll buttons to make your way through worksheets. This allows for easy entry without having to memorize anything. Finance can be difficult enough -- no need to make life harder for yourself.
The functions are great, with everything you need. I enjoy the algebraic entry mode such as using stacked parenthesis order of operation. Coming from a TI-89, this is a very natural way of doing mathematics for me.
Only negative I find is sometimes pressing a key rapidly doesn't register. I can't find any regular pattern to this so am unable to offer an explanation.
