This is a great GPS unit. It is very easy to use, and has been very reliable. I like the leather pouch that comes with it to store the unit when not in use. The suction cup that is available for the windshield works great. I put it on over a month ago and it has never come loose. Great Product, and value for the money

Charged it and plugged it in and worked great. I compared it to another in the vehicle at the time athe Nuvi found better routes. The product is easy to use and has a long battery life.

What a great product!
Exceptionally easy to use with very intelligent logic, wonderful for finding your way around unfamiliar areas.
Great bonus features besides comprehensive directions include photographs library, electronic book service, multi language dictionaries and more.
Just a few map glitches causing confusion 1% of the time such that you also need to keep an eye on road signs. Probably the only frustration with the unit is that freeway exit ramps are often titled differently to the off-ramp road names used by the Garmin maps and directions.

After having a factory installed GPS unit with my last three Hondas, I decided to try GPS unit that was not built in. I did a lot of reading and research on the available models. I even went down to Frys to try out the models before I decided on a unit. When I tried the models out the Nuvi was the hands down winner. It was much faster and easier to use than any other product (Street Pilot, Tom Tom, Magellan, Cobra) I even found the unit easier to use and much quicker than the Honda unit I had in my car. The unit came from Amazon with all the item I needed for installation, auto wind shield mount and car charger. I was amazed when I installed it in my garage (with the garage door open) and it found the necessary satellites to identify my position. The antenna is a patch antenna on the back of the unit, it is unobtrusive and inconspicuous.
The screen is large and easy to read and it automatically dims at night. I have not used the mp3 player because of the small speaker, maybe an audio out button would be useful. I have played with the build in language phrases and can imagine they would be helpful, but I have not purchase any additional phrase modules.
My only complaint with the unit (after about 30 days) is the rather poor documentation of features. The unit does many things and has a lot of capabilities you will never know about unless you just play with the unit and try all the touch screen buttons.
I do not hesitate to recommend this unit to friends especially when I hear them complain about getting lost or not knowing how to get around a traffic jam on the highway.

I really love everything about it. I is so user friendly ! I took it out of the box and was able to use it with ease instantly. I used to Hate driving in un familiar territory, but now don't stress at all. It is so nice to be able to see what street is comming up before you can see the actual street sign. Also It directed me where to turn when the actual street signs were missing or obstructed ( a case where I surely would have gotten lost or made multiple turn arounds ) Being able to instantly see gas and food options around you is fantastic. Also could type in the name of businesses such as office depot, and it showed me all six near by. I highly recommend Garmin, it has made working with real estate so much easier.
