I used the Garmin for a 1600 mile trip through the North East. We decided to avoid interstates and could not have done so with the Garmin. When traveling country roads at night and simply returning to the bed/breakfast, imagine the confidence in the pitch dark when a pleasant sounding lady says turn right in 100 yards. Side benefit - this will definitely save in marriage counseling bills and pay for itself!

Ok, so I'm not going to write a long winded detail of the nuvi 660's features and benefits. But, I would like to tell everyone about my experience with Garmin's support website.
I was a little nervous purchasing the 660 as it is a discontinued model, and there were some very negative comments about not getting the 2009 maps. After reading Amazon's claim that they typically sell units with the most current maps (because of their high sales volume) I decided to chance it. But, the 660 from Amazon did not come with the 2009 maps. So I went to Garmin's website and clicked on support.
The first thing they wanted me to do was register the unit. So, I did. After being prompted to enter my serial number, the website tells me that I may be eligible for the 2009 map update. After a system software update they did indeed provide me with links to either download the map update for FREE, or order a copy on CD for $10. I elected to download the files, it took about an hour and about another hour to update the nuvi.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with both Amazon's price, quick shipping and Garmin's support. I don't think I could have gotten any better anywhere else.
For all of you considering the nuvi 660, go for it. You won't be sorry.

Have had the 760 for about a month, I Love it. Has been working great, It has froze up on me a couple times when I hit the menu button. Once I restarted, it worked fine. My brother has the 660, I really like the extra's on the 760.

If you know the destination it' better you use your route,because the GPS
gives you all the time the secondary roads to get to destination.

Hello, I was very satisfied with the performance of the nuvi 660. After i take out from the box, and do the comparison from Mapquest both are
90% accurate.I am tremendoulsy happy for this item and will definitely recommend to everyone.
