***Small update: If you would like the ability to program multiple destinations into your GPS, go with the Nuvi 760.
The first time I purchased this GPS, it was as a gift for my grandmother (far from tech savvy). Her and her husband like to go on trips and I wanted something that would be extremely intuitive and easy to use for two older people. Expectations met. I then purchased 1 for myself (very tech savvy) and, shortly after that, one for my wife (moderately tech savvy). We all love our Nuvi's and have used them for cross country trips as well as jaunts around town and walking (in pedestrian mode, of course) around Boston and Chicago. Everyone I have ever handed this unit to has been able to use it without instruction. The only problem I have ever had with the 660 is it being unable to obtain signal in downtown Chicago during a thunderstorm, but I expect this would have been the case for any GPS considering the dense cloud cover and the tall buildings. We all love the Garmin Nuvi 660 and people ask us all the time about where to get one and how much they are. I always send them to amazon because I've never found it for less. Great Product.

Garmin nüvi 660 In-Car GPS Navigator
I experienced a problem in navigating a city(Castro Valley, CA)where street signs were either poorly lighted or not lighted at all at night. I thought the driving directions I printed from the Internet were sufficient to get me to my destination. But I was wrong. I couldn't see the street signs.
I finally buy a Garmin Nuvi 660 which helped me find an address in Belmont, CA at night. The voice prompt and the map on the Garmin made it easy for me to find my way.
What I don't like about the unit was the pronunciation of certain words, suche Dr. as doctor instead of drive, and Schleply instead of Sneath Lane.
But overall, it always gets me to my destinations in time.

Great product. Never lost the signal. POI database seemed up to date so far. Loving this product. Recommend it to everyone

I purchased this about 3 months ago and it has been perfect!!! I gives adequate notice before upcoming direction changes. It tells street names for the next turn and lets you know if it is a left or right turn. screen is large enough and clear enough to be easily viewed at a glance. I use it daily to find obsure streets in a fairly large city and it has not let me down yet. I have also used it on longer multi state trips and it performed flawlessly. On the larger super highways with exits on both sides, it gives you adequate time and notice as to what lane you need to be in as to not miss a turn. Wish I had got one years ago!!! The only complaint is I wish there were an easy update for newly constructed roads, However I still Highly recommend this product.
What a GPS!! October 13, 2007
This GPS is great!! It connected to my Razr with no problem. The FM transmitter works well too. I can hear through my car speakers perfectly speakerphone and dirctions.
