I purchased this unit to replace the GPS stolen from my car. It has greater functionality than the C330 I had. Overall the unit was easy to set up and use. The feature that alerts you to road hazards is somewhat confusing, but it is early the usage of it. May be it will become clearer with further experience. I no longer attach the unit to my windscreen for obvious reasons. I purchased a weighted dash unit support that works very well. It is easily removed when one exits the car: no more temptation for the thief to purloin it!!

Beats Magellan By a Wide Margin July 13, 2008
I bought my first GPS unit in early 2005 and purchased three Magellan units in 2006 and 2007. After reading many reviews here, I bought the 660 on sale via Amazon three months ago. I could not be happier and the unit has performed flawlessly.
The traffic feature works well as does the Bluetooth phone connection - the microphone is particularly good. I bought three other 660s for family members and they love them as well.
A note about customer service: based on my experience, Garmin has Magellan beat by a mile. At the time I bought the Garmin, I decided to give my old Magellan unit to my father for use on longer trips. I purchased the map update from Magellan and it was twice shipped to the wrong address. The call center in India was hopeless and reluctant to escalate my complaint to the resolution center in the U.S.. The U.S. team finally agreed to refund my money, but it has been almost two months and the credit has yet to show up in my bank account (I used a debit card). A letter to Magellan's CEO and to the company's owners went unanswered (it is a private company owned by venture capitalists in California).
In contrast, my experience with Garmin customer service was outstanding. Its call centers are in the U.S. and my issue was resolved promptly by a smart and courteous representative. I am hardly a xenophobic person; it simply comes down to the quality of customer service. With Magellan, my first point of contact was with someone who spoke only passable colloquial English and asked me to repeat myself over and over again. The call took almost 40 minutes, including 15 minutes of waiting time as the agent hesitated to escalate my call (I think they were hoping I would simply tire of waiting and hang up). My call to Garmin took less than five minutes and the experience was awesome.
Magellan might be saving money by outsourcing its customer service operations to India but, even if its products were as highly-ranked as Garmin's, I would go with Garmin for its commitment to superior service.
the rue21 return went well July 12, 2008
I bought a reconditioned unit from rue21 via Amazon. The unit was great. I used it on a 400 mile trip to Montreal, the spoken directions were accurate and timely and we could find restaurants, gas stations and even casinos. On the way back the unit stopped saying the street names in it's spoken instruction which I assume was the original reason the unit was reconditioned. I have a five star rating because the return went very smooothly and rue21/Amazon deserve the positive feedback. I am repurchasing this unit ony not reconditioned.
Great Gps July 11, 2008
This is my first GPS and it works great. Really easy to use but you should read the manual. The ladies voice is a little annoying after awhile but I just turned the voice off. I have a business and have to go to a lot of different addresses and this hasn't let me down yet.
