I ordered the Garmin GPS for my husband after recommendations from some friends. It is very user friendly and my husband is very satisfied as he had no prior experience with a GPS. He found this very easy to use.
 Nice Idea for Bicycle Use July 21, 2008
I purchased the unit for use on a bicycle and it is great to have on a bicycle but beware of the battery life. It will not last for a 3 to 4 hour rides. It can also take a long time to find a signal when used in a vehicle. Sometimes a few miles! Overall it is a great concept but could still use a little more development.

This is the first GPS unit that I have ever owned and it worked great! I use this for work routes and it helps a lot. You can input a route and it will give multiple ways to get there by just clicking the detour button. Also, It will power up when you start the car and power down when you turn off your car. In addition, it is expandable with an SD card bay. Overall, the best thing about this unit is that it clips on and off to the mount easily and can carry it around in your pocket to take in other cars. The battery lasts long too!

This is probably the best GPS Navigator for the budget minded user. The only drawback would be updating the maps but that would go for any GPS Navigation devise. I would not recommend the mount to windshield that comes with the unit as over time, it will fall off and the glue is not easy to removed from the windshield. Garmin does make a free standing mount that is weighted so it can be used on any dashboard. The cost is around $40. My one big complaint that sometimes the voice that tell you to turn may tell you too soon or two late if the desired turn is within a hundred feet of another street, ramp, or intersection.

This little gadget has been very helpful lately. We moved to a new area and we have heavily relied on it's wisdom. The only problem I have with it is the search feature. It seems to take a long time pull up a list. For example if you ask for nearby food options it takes a LONG time to compile said list. But otherwise it's fab, and we're really glad we have it.
