| Customer Reviews:
comfortable but flat at high frequency (treble) November 20, 2007 These are my first Noise cencelling headphones. Pros: very comfortable. battery pack /circuit is over the wire So headphone theselves feel light on head. No humming sound like philips / sony. ( on same price range ) Long battery life (50hrs) cheap. ( I got them for 5.99 + SH in a deal )
Cons: As mst people stated, battery/circuit weight on left ear piece can break wire and make them useless. wire is very long So these may not be considered portable. When NC is turned on, high frequency/treble (music) gets cut off.
Overall decent headphone when cared properly. I am going on 18 Hr nonstop flight next month. Will update this review again with honest opinion.
Good value for money November 16, 2007 These headphone are a great value for the money. They work well and certainly help on long flights etc...
Not the best but certainly not bad June 18, 2007 I bought these due to a coworker who likes to blast his movie soundtrack music through tinny-sounding laptop speakers so much that it wafts into my cubicle and interferes with my music. I have so far been able to black out my keyboard clackety-clack and his music effectively. You have to be careful because if you have anything moderately-loud playing, like techno or indie music, you won't hear a thing besides your music when the noise-cancellation feature is activated. Classical music and other soft pieces let outside noise in, obviously.
Two individuals were just having a spirited conversation right outside my cubicle, voices raised, and I never even knew they were there.
If you ever need a decent pair of earphones to drown out unwanted noise, this is your best bet.
Is GE a better choice? May 14, 2007 This is my second purchase of the same model. I use it in noisy situations like lawn-moving, vaccum-cleaning etc.
Actually, I was not really thrilled with my first one. It was heavy, the battery had to be carried in an external case, the noise cancelling is ok. The wire going into the left ear cup broke leading me to find a replacement.
I looked for something similar with with large ear cups for the sake of comfort. In the price range of this one, I could not find any that performed better than this one. One JVC model looked good but reviews said that the noise cancelling is bad. So, I ended up purchasing this one again.
Later, at a Home Depot, I noticed a GE model that looked similar. I will check it out next time.
Excellent Noise Reduction May 12, 2007 Comfortable, excellent noise reduction, good sound. The noise reduction switch in the middle of a long cord can present a problem of where to put the cord when you are walking around doing things.
