Now I learn these 'phones are not even top of the line, and I don't care! They are incredible. I bought them somewhat whimsically after knowing Sennheiser to be reputable, but these far exceed my expectations. I will own nothing else.
They are comfortable, and they've been the best quality headphones I've heard for any music thus far, blowing my other $100 pairs I've had out of the water. Reproduce lows surprisingly well.
The only downside is that they make some mp3's unacceptable to listen to since it shows their flaws. Good for music in general I guess! Right now I'm listening to Galactic Live at Jazzfest and it's insane, my ears are absolutely flooded with sound and I can't even crank them up to the max.
 Not worth the extra costs compared to PX-100 August 12, 2008
I had busted a pair of my PX-100s and was looking for a replacement. I thought I would spend a little extra and see what improvements I would get. After comparing them with another pair of PX-100s I was unable to notice big improvements that justified the $50-60 price increase. I highly recommend the PX-100. Minor factors in comparison were the lightweight portability and the comfort, in both areas I also preferred the PX-100. Kudos to Sennheiser for making great products.

These headphones are amazing, and the price makes it a no-brainer. I now own two pairs (office+home), and use them for many different types of music. And they just perform! I wear them for hours and hours and almost forget they are there. And the music that comes out? Oh, my god.
So, believe all the rave reviews and just buy them!

PS I also tried the 202 because of the great price. Don't. They are SO far from these, and gave me headaches because of the bad fit. So they are now collecting dust on a shelve in the garage.

Wearing these headphones is a pleasure. They are the most comfortable cans i've ever used. They have a velvet liner that just feel great. Sounds is amazing. Get a pair!

Nice set of headphones for less then $100. I use them for watching TV through a Denon 5.1 receiver and the sound is very good. Seem to be very sensitive since I don't need to turn the sound up very high for adequate vol. Appear to be well made and are comfortable for movie lenght. I considered other brands but took a chance with these, based on good reviews, and I have not been disappointed. I considered wireless because I would prefer not having a cord but I have not been impressed with any I tried. They really can't reproduce surround sound but are very good for times when my wife doesn't want to listen to the program I'm watching.
