1 out of 5 stars Broke after 3 months   July 9, 2008
These headphones are horrible and poor quality. I have only had mine for 3 months, and they are already broken. I get no sound out of the left ear now. The cord is so long that it is simply impossible for it not to get tangled or become a nuisance. I had gotten these headphones precisely because the ones that came with my ipod were not working well and the left ear plug produced no sound. Now, I have the same problem with these.

By contrast, I got my wife the Coby CVE92 Isolation Stereo Earphones, which is cheaper, has better sound, and still works.

5 out of 5 stars Much more comfortable to use than the ipod headphones.   July 8, 2008
I was prompted to look for new earbuds when I couldn't find mine- and frankly the ones that came with my ipod are downright uncomfortable, even painful after wearing them a while. So far the jbods have been MUCH more comfortable than the ipod earbuds.

By default the jbuds are equipped with the medium sized buds, so I simply switched them for the smaller ones (included with them, as well as larger).

Another nice feature is the noise reduction. (It doesn't cancel it out entirely, but at this price point what can you expect?) It's a bit like when you stick your fingers in your ears- everything outside is dulled a bit. The audio going in however, is quite clear.

One odd thing- on the jlabs page it says these don't work with an ipod or an itouch. But I tried mine with an itouch and they work great!

I also bought the earbud case when I got these. I have to say it... it's cute. :-) It is fairly sturdy but slightly resilient, and includes a small screen-like pocket on the inside to hold your alternate sizes of ear tips.

I'd be very comfortable recommending this product.

5 out of 5 stars a pleasure   July 7, 2008
I've only used cheap ear buds before, and boy, what a difference! These met and exceeded my expectations. They are very comfortable. They stay in place (except when I catch the wires on something while I'm cleaning house and pull them out of my ears). They seal well in my ears. In fact, it's hard to sing along because it's like singing with your fingers in your ears. the sound is perfectly adequate for my taste. I'm glad I bought them. I don't see any need for anything more expensive.

good headphones while they last.
Which is about 1 year, then the (internal) cables just break.
