Works as advertised... September 6, 2008 Overall, I'd say this product delivers more than what the stock earbuds do. It offers a well balanced frequency range but it does bias on the low/bass side. I use this for my iPhone and it doesn't have a mic. V.Moda offers another version called the Duo, if you're interested in having a mic.
Anyways, the earbuds fit directly into your ear canal and muffles out, I'd say, 80% of all outside noise to better isolates the sound. I can wear these hours on end without having any probs (ear-strain or pain). They include three size fittings to accommodate various ear sizes...
Great sound, Great looks September 5, 2008 Pros: -Aesthetically beautifull product -Great Sound -Good Warranty (wich assures me that even if the rumours about the breakability of these headphones are true i'll still be able to replace them)
Cons: I have read a LOT of reviews and rumours that theese headphones are esasy to break and stop working in a short time.
Summary: I really like how theese headphones look, my main concern is audio though. I just opened the box and really liked what i saw, the headphones are really shiny and look metalic, the look like a very fine, top notch product... although the are way smaller than I expected! WARNING: Quality headhones need 8 to 10 hours of use to get to their best sound. In my case, i've been using them for about 20 minutes but the sound is already great to say the least. It IS TRUE: these headphones are bass heavy, but the bass doesn't feel heavy, neither it doesnt seem to overpower the rest of sounds. I really like theese headphones so far, i will keep using them for about a week and see how they behave and post a review again.
So... to end this post: This are great headphones so far (30 minutes) They look GREAT, like an article of jewelry Great buy for an experienced listener but if you are new into buying expensive heaphones with a higher sound quality i would reccomend something a little bit cheaper, like the V-MODA bass freq headphones.
Excellent sound, poor build quality September 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Assuming they are functional, these headphones probably have the best sound quality at its price point.
However, the right earphone shorted out a little over a year after moderate use. The wire near the headphone jack had become loose. V-MODA does NOT have a repair service at this time (I called).
Best Ear Buds I have ever had!!!!!! September 2, 2008 After many years of listening to music, I finally found a pair of ear buds that sound fabulous, fit in my ear and drowned out the noise around me. I have 4 pairs of the vibes now, all which sound, look and feel tremendous. I absolulty love these ear buds. I highly recommend buying a pair.
In the ear and on the money September 1, 2008 I was enough impressed about these earbuds that I bought another set for a friend. I know some people cannot stand the feel of an in-ear earphone, but, if you can, this product will certainly please you. It comes with three sets of seals - small, medium, and large - and with the correct seal, the sound response is amazing (there IS bass lurking in your iPod!) whether you are programming in front of a computer in a noisy office or just flying in an MD-80. Here is what I compare these to: the original Apple on-ear set never sat on my ear properly and never gave me the bass response I wanted; Panasonic on-ear headphones with noise cancelation at close to the same price (which seem almost as good as the much more expensive BOSE QC-3 but much better than my old cheaper noise-canceling SONY's) get rid of more noise and give a little better bass than these but will not fit in your shirt pocket next to your iPod. I never did try the $300 to $400 sets, and I don't think I need to.
