Excellent value! June 27, 2008 I have one of my own and purchased another for my daughter. Has a wonderful clear sound. Is a great product!
BAM June 6, 2008 I love this unit. It has great sound for such small speakers and it is great for outdoor gatherings. Two friends ordered this system after hearing mine.
Performs as advertised and reviewed June 1, 2008 This product performs well. I use it to listen to music while driving a city bus. It is rugged and protects my iPod as well. The sound is very nice. I've also been using it on my back porch when I have friends over as well and it's just perfect for producing background music and providing atmosphere.
Great Sound May 20, 2008 I have two friends who already had this product and I just had to have it. We use it for music on the golf course. Great way to relax while playing golf. The sound is unbelievable, the unit is easy to set up and easy to transport. There are two draw backs. I wish it came with a remote control. I have a newer nano and it does not fit well in the dock. If I put it in the converter dock then I cannot use the play button on my nano. Bad design in that sense. If you want a great sounding unit though, this is it.
Very disappointed with service and product just ok May 7, 2008 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
After doing extensive research on portable Ipod systems, I chose the iM9 because of the rave reviews. While the sound is fine (although I was initially very disappointed since my expectations were high after all the wonderful reviews) the worst has been the terrible, wretched, unbelievably bad "customer service" from Altec Lansing. In the product description, it claims that it comes with international plug adapters. One of the reasons I purchased the iM9 is that I travel extensively abroad and planned to use those plugs. The plugs did not come in the box as advertised, and trying to get a response or anyone even remotely competent on the phone or by email at Altec is impossible. If it weren't such a hassle and expense to return things, I would send it back.
