Pleased with product July 13, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Product was as advertised. Pretty quick on scanning and easy editing software to master. No problem on installation, either hardware or software. I had it up and running in about 10 minutes. I used this machine to duplicate old family photos. I prefer to use Photoshop for final editing, however, but that's just me. I am a Mac user.
Very good bang for the buck May 31, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I did a quick check on the reviews section and bought this item. Its pretty sleek and works well too. A little too noisy while scanning. Cannon Rocks!!
Good enough for a person who doesn't expect too much. May 27, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this scanner just because one needs to have a scanner to place some documents and non-digital pictures to computer from time to time.Luckily for me, I use it not so often. It is very, very slow. Besides, Photo Studio software is slow and primitive. Now I have digital camera and can see the difference between its software and that one enclosed with this scanner. However, you really need to have a scanner, and, if you are not too demanding, buy this scanner and use it! Now, after one year,I can add that I like this thing more and more.It is reliable and serves me every time I need it.
One minor, but annoying problem May 17, 2006 11 out of 24 found this review helpful
This little scanner works well enough for the price. The only gripe I have is that at first I couldn't get it to work until a techno-person asked if I had turned the switch on the bottom from "lock" to "unlock". What switch? I asked. Oh, it's there, all right, but nowhere in the instructions could I find reference to a lock/unlock switch; and if the reference IS there, it's certainly well-hidden.
Now maybe people who have grown up with computers know enough to look for such things...but believe it or not, some of us are over thirty! So, this little gizmo gets only four stars...and I think I'm being generous at that.
Hint to instruction-writing geeks the world over: DON'T ASSUME THAT "EVERYONE KNOWS 'THAT'"! Not all of us do.
Quick and Easy March 25, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
There isn't anything fancy about the scanner, but it does what I need it to do exceptionally well. The setup was easy and the instructions on how to use it were easily understandable. The quality is good. I use it to scan worksheets for my elementary classroom. Great product - I don't have any complaints.
