1 out of 5 stars HP 6310   July 2, 2008

I do not recommend the 6310. I've had it about a year and now the "Reset Power" consistently flashes. HP has no answer for it. This is my last HP printer. They owe it to their customers to come up with a fix or replace the unit.

4 out of 5 stars Solid machine with easy set-up   July 2, 2008

For $150 you can't beat this printer. It's network-able which is a huge help. Setup was a breeze and the quality is great. I've tried everything but receiving a fax and it's all been smooth.

I did hit one snag while installing the printer on my work laptop (I know, why bother, I shouldn't be working while I'm home - but I do)because of the firewall settings. After temporarily disabling them to install the device it works fine and I can print with everything running as normal - just for installation.

I bought a similar version of this product (5310)for the office I worked in and I liked it so much I wanted one at home. I need the scanner and fax feature the most, although the copier I'm sure will come in handy from time to time. It's very fast, scans are clear, and I can have color or B/W scans. I can choose where to store the scanned files on my PC, which is great. I use the desktop feature for the HP, so I can easily access the unit. I can even access my sim card from my Digital Camera, which is great. I really like HP products as a whole, they are reliable, and built well.

I had an older HP all in one (4315) and it lasted about a 18 months so I decided to upgrade and spend a little more with this all in one. So far it has been great, I would highly recommend it!!!!

HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier (Q8061A#ABA)

Swore by HP printers for years. Never had a problem until I bought this Officejet 6310 two years ago. It worked for six months and now won't do anything but flash "reset power."

Called HP product support and e-mailed several times. They are clueless as to what is causing the problem and how to fix it. Can't understand that since Googling "Officejet 6310" uncovers scores of customers with the same problem.

Also had an HP Photosmart 8000 die after six months. That's the last HP printer I'll buy.
