| Customer Reviews:
Scanning a breeze May 15, 2008 My recent purchase of Canon's Canoscan 4400f was a no brainer. From the beginning I enjoyed simple easy to read instructions and effortless installation of the software. The performance was staggering compared to my old flunky machine. I especially was blown away by the beautifully designed slide(s) scanner which is attached right under the scanner lid.No more fumbling around with trays and other special attachments to scan my slides. The scanner itself does a great job with sharp and crisp imaging. Best of all is pricing. How can you go wrong at $89.00 and have all those features plus prompt delivery service.
Good product with small footprint May 15, 2008 This scanner works like a charm. I especially like the buttons on the front for copying, etc., so you don't have to set it up through the computer. Nice small footprint (very thin).
Great Scanner for The Price May 15, 2008 I bought this scanner almost exclusively to scan documents. It does that very good from scanner to printer or to my computer's hard drive. It also lets me name the files and choose what folder they go into. It does everything I need. I've scanned a few pictures and got very good results I find this to be a low cost high quality scanner and would highly recommend it to other buyers.
As good as promised May 14, 2008 I checked the other reviews before I bought the CanoScan and wasn't disappointed. My main purpose for this purchase was to copy old slides (40-50 years old) and it does a good job. There are several steps but it can handle four slides at the same time, so it's not so bad. It is slow--about a minute per slide--but everything else on the market seems to be, too. It also scans and copies with a one-button touch, which is really nice. Quality is pretty good just with the standard settings. For the price, it was a good buy.
Great Value; Easy To Use May 6, 2008 I purchased this scanner for the sole purpose of transferring old slides to a digital format. After more than a hundred scans, I have to say this is a wonderful item. It is easy to use; the software is simple. Though I have no comparison scans, the image resolution exceeds expectations (I scanned them at 1600 x 1200).
A professional photographer might prefer a better model, but for home scanning and transferring personal pictures, the Canon 4400F is a great value!
My family and I enjoyed seeing full-sized pictures for the first time in decades.
