Decent Shredder but not stellar - Good if you have kids September 6, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
It won't take an entire credit card solicitation at once, you have to unfold it first. It will take the full 8 sheets, but they must be square on the blades. If they are offset and crumple a bit, the machine struggles to get through.
Blades are well protected by the design of this unit, an adult finger can't get to the blades from the top. The auto shut off is triggered when ANY of the metal surrounding the shredder blades is touched by a finger. It's annoying when you're trying to use the shredder, but a good defence against little fingers.
Works as advertised September 3, 2007 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Like the ad says, it chomps up several pages of paper with staples at once and can even chomp up credit cards. Since I use this mainly to shred mails that have my ID/bank data on it, I didn't need an industrial monster shredder, so this machine fits my bill. The top is designed for easy removal of shredded confetti and the reversal switch allows for easy "un-jamming" of the paper, should you put in too much stuff. I'm satisfied. I also bought the shredder oil so that this may last a loooong time.
Top Notched Shredder September 1, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
From the first this shredder has lived up to its reputation and beyond. Page after page of papers I was afraid to throw away have been shredded into unreadable and unrecoverable confetti. The piece of mind I now have is priceless.
(Very) pleasantly surprised! August 23, 2007 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
I haven't had much luck with low-cost shredders, but this one really surprised me. I've had it for about six months and have used it a LOT. So far, so good. As long as you don't cram too much paper in at one time... and you let it "rest" after 10 minutes of continuous use... this shredder will not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. It's easy to operate, easy to empty, and it shreds credit cards as promised. I'm a satisfied customer!
Not as good a shredder as I had thought... August 23, 2007 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
...but does the job for the most part. It jammed the very first time I used it and it took me 30 minutes to clear it out. And you can't put over 2 sheets at a time or it will almost grind to a halt. Not overly pleased, but I think it will be an adequate shredder for my home. Just be careful how much paper you put in at one time.
