5 out of 5 stars So far, so good.   June 15, 2008
It's doing all it's supposed to do without a hitch. It was easy to set up and is working fine.

4 out of 5 stars So far so good!   June 15, 2008

i decided to go with this one because the price was right & so were the features. so far (knock on wood!) i haven't encountered any of the problems that some other reviewers have listed. the mp610 prints quickly & cleanly, it make good copies (not totally pro but close enough for most uses), & the scanning features are totally adequate for any non-pro needs. can scan at up to 600dpi, uses both letter & A4 sizes, & the software it comes with (if you don't use photoshop) is easy to work with.

it also looks great, & has a very nice ease of use from the pop-up control screen. i don't know what canon's rep is for longevity, but it can't last any shorter than any one of epson's crappy printers that give you 1/4 of the features at the same price, & have all died on me within a year!

recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Canon Pixma MP610 Photo All in One   June 15, 2008

i was pleasantly surprised with the ease with which I was able to start using the printer. The photographs I printed were of excellent quality. The copy feature was quick and easy to use however the black and white contrast for documents was a little disappointing. Over all I am very happy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars great printer!   June 15, 2008

Wow this is an awsome printer! has no problems printing on high gloss paper. i canon is the best. the scan quality is perfect. the menu is easy to use and best of all the head alignment is automatic! no more typing off a color grid! it is kind of bulky but the two way paper feed option is great. i dont top load at all. i just use the cassette feed. (from bottom tray)

3 out of 5 stars Cannon Pixma MP610 not that great   June 13, 2008

I have had my Pixma MP610 about a month. It works pretty much as described; however,I have not been able to get the Bluetooth connection working with my Macbook Pro. I get a message that they are communicating but nothing prints. Also the quality of photo prints is not much better than my old Cannon SS330. Additionally the 330 prints were the same no matter what paper I used. I first tried printing photos with the 610 on some HP paper and the photos had lines; with the sample Cannon paper the photos were OK. I don't think that a printer should be so dependent on the paper source. If I had not gotten a large rebate thus lowering the cost by about 50% my rating would have been a one star.
