5 out of 5 stars Panasonic SA-EN25   March 2, 2008

Hello, I am Cherry. I recently purchased the Panasonic mini system, and I am enjoying it very much. I think it's a wonderful little system for my little room. It doesn't take up lots of spaces and it has good sound.

4 out of 5 stars Good value for the money   March 2, 2008

My wife wanted a small stereo to use in the Kitchen. She had 2 requests - it had to be loud enough to overcome the dishwasher, faucet, microwave and anything else that might be on at the same time. No problem. The stereo gets plenty loud.

I hooked up my iPod to it, and sounds good. FM reception is a little lacking compared to the old boom box we had with a telescoping antenna, but acceptable,

You can adjust the sound quality, but I just leave it on the standard setting. Bass can be a bit boomy if you choose the setting with amplified bass.

In any case, the stereo is an excecllent value. I recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Fills the room with sound   February 29, 2008

Don't expect too much from this product, and you'll be very pleased. It easily fills one room with sound, and if you turn the volume all the way up (to "50") you can pretty much fill an upstairs or hallway area. The sound quality is surprisingly good for radio, CD, and MP3 (although note you will need an extra cable to connect your MP3 or iPod). My iPod sounds better on this small stereo than on my larger living room stereo (not sure if this is due to the cable or the stereo, but still!). There is no graphic equalizer, but there are four different settings - one to boost bass, one to boost vocals, one to boost high end, and one "normal" setting. Note also that you cannot fast-forward within each track (you can only skip to the next track). But it's light, compact, easy, and a great buy for under $100.

5 out of 5 stars Great radio   February 13, 2008
Bought this mainly because it has a remote. This is a quality unit for a small price. Everything works, and I like it.

5 out of 5 stars I love this little stereo!   February 8, 2008

I bought the Panasonic SC-EN25 CD Micro System a few weeks ago and have used it every day. I absolutely love it. I listen to the radio a lot during the day, and at night I listen to a CD to help me fall asleep.

This is a sturdy little system and seems well made; I was worried the CD door would be flimsy and break, but it seems pretty robust. And it's so cool looking! I feel like I'm in the original Star Trek when that little door opens and closes. :) The sound is excellent; it's probably the best-sounding stereo I've ever owned, although in the interest of full disclosure I should admit that I haven't owned many stereos, and never an expensive one. The speakers are not attached to the rest of the stereo, which I didn't realize at the time I bought it, but I like being able to arrange the speakers the way I want.

The whole thing is pretty small, and takes up very little room on my desk, which is nice. I like having a remote control, and the arrangement of buttons is pretty simple and intuitive. There are a number of preset sound quality settings, and everything I listen to sounds great (I only change the sound quality for the CD I listen to before bed; too much bass keeps me awake!).

My last CD player (a Sony that I paid $80 for) started doing funny things with CDs (refusing to play them, stopping and starting, skipping), so I was very concerned that my next CD player not develop the same problem. I read all the reviews of the stereos in my price range on Amazon, and the Panasonic SC-EN25 CD Micro System was the only one that didn't have any reviews mentioning this problem. Of course it's only been a few weeks, but so far I'm very happy with my purchase.
