Works fine on basic stuffs but a little bit uncomfortable control June 20, 2008 The basic functions (Bluetooth, CD/MP3 playback and tuner) work fine. Looks neat. I don't feel my money wasted on this.
Only a little bit of control issues:
1. Cannot change playback mode while playing: you have to stop playing CD to change between shuffle/repeat 1/repeat all modes. Most of time once I select shuffle, I use it for a long time so it's okay. But sometimes you want to listen to the music in order, or you want to skip to the right song quickly. In shuffle mode, you have to cross your fingers and try until it hits the right spot. All the other players I had can change the playback mode instantly. I don't know why this one cannot do that.
2. Reading CD slow: you should wait a bit of time (5~10 sec?) Not too bad but definitely slower than other CD players. My small portable palm-sized panasonic starts faster. It also takes longer time to change tracks on CD, compared to other players.
3. Cannot select Bluetooth as the "wake-up": I use this to wake myself up in the morning with the kind of music I like. You can select either CD or tuner for this, but cannot use the Bluetooth channel. There might be connection issues preventing this though...
fair May 27, 2008 fairly priced. fair quality. if you need really good sound spend more money.
Great equipment April 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am extremely pleased with the Sony stereo. I am ecstatic about the bluetooth feature as I store all of my music on my computer and it works great. Very clear. I also benefit from the Graphic Equalizer built into Media Player.
Great Bluetooth March 9, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
On my last vist to Circuit City, I had the chance to play with one of these. Unlike the gentleman with the Bluetooth problems, I was able to pair this stereo with my Bluetooth phone in a matter of minutes (without a manual, I might add). Cranked it up and listened to my MP3's, while I walked around Circuit City shopping. The Sony unit perfomed extraordinarily with adequate volume and good sound for a standard sized room. I would buy this if I was in the market for a mini-stereo system.
Decent deal March 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is not a high end microcomponent but something basic to enjoy your music -MP3 and CD's- without worries. If you're a big fan of HI-FI audio, this system is not for you. The equalizer offers bass and treble adjustment only. Size and appearance are stylish. Overall, a decent deal.
