Great product October 4, 2008 purchased this unit 1month ago and I am very satisfied. The only problem is when I setting 2nd computer this unit doesn't configure mouse and key board but later after I play little time it works well. after that everything is great and very comfortable and this audio support is great and price is pretty good too. I strongly recommend this unit for who have 2 computer with one monitor. ^^
Great KVM at a good price August 13, 2008 Great little KVM that does its job. Switches between my Windows and Linux boxes perfectly. Sometimes the Windows box will take a minute to connect, but the Linux box works flawlessly. Can switch between machines by using the buttons on the KVM or hitting num-lock twice.
Not so good actually August 11, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mine arrived DOA. I plugged in all of the cables according to the instructions, and the green LEDs for computer1 or computer2 never lit indicating that the switch had power.
I called Trendnet tech support and they told me to return it. Thankfully Amazon has free shipping to return defective items.
This switch also messed with my wireless mouse when it was plugged in, it sent some sort of signal to the scroll wheel or something and caused very erratic behavior. And the thing wasn't even powered on!
I went with a Belkin Flip instead. Here's hoping I have a little better luck with that.
Simply as simple and good as advertised! August 11, 2008 I read several reviews of similar products and decided on the Trendnet unit. Installation was literally just connecting the cables and pressing the button and starting the computer for that button. Works like a gem with zero problems or complaints. As others have stated, longer cables would have been better but I was able to work it out with what was supplied..Placing both computers side by side under the desk and placing the Trendnet on top of one of them, or on the desk right above them if that space is available would probably be the easiest way to go. After getting hit by a really nasty virus I decided to set up an old computer only for surfing the internet and nothing else and with the TRENDNET IT'S EASY AND PAINLESS. If that computer takes a hit nothing of importance [all in the other computer] is at risk and I just swap in a cloned hard drive [from when it was clean] and I'm back where I was in 10 minutes or so with no headache and no virus! Many other uses of course, but that's how I'm using it. I absolutely recommend this probuct!
Works great! July 31, 2008 Installed this so that I could share my monitor, speakers, and keyboard with my home workstation and work laptop. Switches seamlessly to one computer to the other. I only wish the wires were hidden more.
