5 out of 5 stars Absolutely no need to look elsewhere for an HDMI cable   July 20, 2008

I'll add my positive voice to the chorus of delighted customers. In looking for HDMI cables, if you price check places like Best Buy and Circuit City, you will run the risk of dying of sticker shock. There is absolutely no question that the outrageously exhorbitant prices charged at these and similar stores is a titanic rip off. I've frequently had experiences in the past getting cheaper, generic versions of cables instead of the ones with name brand logos or selling from chains. For example, I've been utterly content with a very cheap cable purchase for use with my iPod instead of the incredibly expensive one with the Apple logo on it.

Under no circumstances pay more than a few dollars for an HDMI cable. I'm sure that the other cheap HDMI cables available on Amazon are just as good as this inexpensive one. I'm equally certain that you are not going to be able to detect any difference between these cables costing less than $2 and those for $60 from Best Buy. Get this cable and use the savings to buy yourself an up-conversion DVD player.

2 out of 5 stars Bad Cable   July 20, 2008

I don't want to jinx a product that has a great reputation so far, because I know there are defects during production, but when I received this product it had a connector on it that was not attached properly. It was allowing the audio signal to travel through the cable, but not the video. If I moved the cable around it acted like it had a short in it allowing me to see the video when I held it in one place.

I had to go to the store and purchase another HDMI cable, and the new one worked fine letting me know the problem was the cable.

I am not going to give it 1 star due to the fact that I have not returned the cable for another one, but be aware there is a possibility for a defect, as is the case with any product. :)

Great deal however as far as cost goes.

Very happy with the product. It thrills me to spend only a fraction of the retail cost and receive a great product in time by mail.
