Wonderful Product January 2, 2008
I got this to go with my new navigation system and it works beautifully. I went on vacation, took it with me and used it in 2 other cars. No worries and it fit on the dash of each car easily.

Recommended for the StreetPilot c580 and other similar GPS. Much better than the hassle of insecure windshield mount and less obstruction of road view while driving.

Highly recommended. Steady as a rock; never budges. Makes the Garmin GPS a dream to use. Worth every penny. By the way, Amazon is pure genius. I would have never spent the money for this friction mount had it not been for the glowing reviews in Amazon. Now that I have some experience under my belt, it is abundantly clear that the truly wonderful automotive GPS would have been much less usable without the friction mount. You benefit from my individual experience and those of the many other reviewers in a way that just isn't possible when shopping in a bricks and morter store.

Awesome product - do buy this works great and saves your windshield from melted rubber disc! Also makes it easy to stow on floorboard to prevent theft.

The Garmin Friction mount makes the GPS unit much easier to use than sticking it on the windshield. Because it's closer to you, it is easier to hear the directions, see the map, and use the touch screen. I highly recommend this if you use a Garmin GPS!
