Loved it so much, I got another one for my wife. July 24, 2008 Simple, elegant design that stands up to my carrying it around everywhere. When my wife got her own iTouch, she had to have this case as well.
Terrific Deal July 22, 2008 Beautiful case, and works very well. When I first got it, the hole to access the port on the bottom was a little too small, and I had to remove the iPod from the case to recharge/sync it. I started pushing the recharger cable through the hole first, then slid the iPod down onto the charger for a few times until the leather stretched enough allow the cable to connect properly. It now fits perfectly.
I've had the case for a while now, and I've dropped the iPod a couple of times, and the case works...... no damage whatsoever to the iPod. The belt clip is very handy, I just wish it were removable, or they made one without the clip (I'd buy them both - there are times I want the clip, and sometimes it just gets in the way - nothing is perfect)
Great accessory. Looks professional, does a great job of protecting the iPod without making it too bulky, doesn't get in the way at all when using it once the leather "breaks in" a bit (at first, the area around the edge of the screen and the front button are somewhat difficult to get to, but after a little use, the leather form-fits to your iPod.
It flat-out works..... I'd buy one again without hesitation, but this one looks like it will outlast the iPod. Get one.....you won't be sorry.
....now, if they only made them in exotic leathers (Ostrich, Stingray, Snake skin, etc) :-)
Flipping Good Case July 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having bought the iPod Touch I was terribly paranoid about messing it up by simply looking at it. After some consideration (and review reading) I went with this DLO HipCase.
It's basic, clean design keeps my little music buddy safe no matter where I end up dumping it.
Can't say there are any design flaws, as such. It works as it appears it should.
Only draw back for me is I am left wanting something to help manage the ear buds. I thought the little inside pocket might do it, but, alas, no. Still not sure what that pocket is for.
Generally speaking, a good product for the money (though I seemed to have paid $4 more than it's now selling out).
Ipod Case July 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought his case after reading th other reviews. High quality leather. I Like the magnetic flap that keeps it closed. Slot for business cards. Did not experience anything related to the smell of the leather like others had written about. They must have solved that problem already.
Good Case, But Could Be Better July 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this case in January 2008 and it's now July 2008. The DLO case is sleek, sexy and pretty high quality. It does, however, have it's flaws. As at least one of reviewer mentioned, the case becomes loose after time and my iPod Touch does seem to slide around and sometimes slide right out of the case. This definitely is due to the leather just naturally stretching with time but probably should have been accounted for during the design of the product.
Secondly, the case scratches the back of the iPod. I now have a backside protector on my iPod but indeed this case scratches the backside of the player where the belt clip is attached seems to rub it just the right way and results in some pretty visible scratching. Of course this is due to the poor design of the iPod's backside that are used on a daily basis will indeed have a scratched backside.
I'm now looking for another case to replace the DLO...:) It was a good case but it's time for something new.
