Well, not my obsession but, I do iron everything that I wear. My wife isn't the one that does it...I do. Anyway, I am a perfectionist and have been searching for the best iron. Well, I have found it in the Panasonic NI-L46NR. First of all cordless is the only way to go. I got my first cordless iron a couple of years ago as a present from my sister and thought this is great and it was for about 2 months, then it started leaking terribly and I tried to deal with it for awhile and finally couldn't take it anymore so into the trash can it went. I went back to a corded iron and was satified with it but that darn cord kept getting in the way. My search began again and found the Panasonic NI-L46NR read a bunch of reviews and thought this is the one. It was very reasonably priced and so I ordered it online thru Amazon.com. I received it within a week after ordering it and couldn't wait to crank it up and see if it was really as good as all of the reviews. It was and it still is!! It heats up very quickly and get extremly hot which in my opinion is one of the big factors in quality ironing. The steam function is the best I have ever used...costant steam when wanted, super powerful steam bursts with a touch of a button. The unit is very light and extremely functional. Cords be gone..Thank you Panasonic!!!

I tried to use opinions listed and found none from quilters. I decided to order and very pleased. Heats quickly and presses seams with ease. Cordless iron allows you to work in limited space or in a work area not convenient to electric outlet.

Overall, pretty good product. I design and make bags and I think this product would be great for a hobbyist, not a professional. However, I do like that it has a carry base and cover. I like that it is light weight, even full of water. I like the detachable water container.
I don't like that it loses heat fairly quickly and needs to be constantly put back on the base. Even fresh from the base, it does not give off a lot of steam. It *DOES NOT* have a water spray feature, which I was really unhappy about. To solve the problem, I got a spray bottle at Ikea.
Overall, good, solid product. Perhaps it will grow on me, and I will just learn more about it. In all, I like it and would probably buy it again.

I hate ironing!
But this iron makes it so simple and fun.
Having no cord is awesome, and it really makes things easy.
Also it has a good burst of steam.
At this price, no hesitation, go for it !

This is a great iron..i got it mainly because of the cordless function...yes ..havin no cord to maneuver helps....but really not that big a difference as i do have to keep reheating it on the warming plate...which works really well..hence u have to have the base unit around always...one good thing is i can use it even on y curtains...and valence sheets...the steam is excellent...powerful like no other iron i have had this far..its also light and comes in a nice cute box to store...
If i had to change one thing ..that wud be to not have to reheat it every so often...
but the pros of this iron are many..i hope panasonic reads our feedback to come up with a product that maybe works on charged batteries or somethin and still is powerful.
