3 out of 5 stars Not very universal   February 8, 2008

If you are thinking about getting these with the Onkyo system package deal, don't bother. The Onkyo speakers have a small threaded brass hole on the back of them just like every other satellite speaker I've ever seen.
But these mounts don't have anything (at least that I could figure out) that would "universally" attach to that threaded hole. I wasn't about to drill into a perfectly good speaker box to attach a mounting plate when the speaker already has a mounting method (it just didn't include any). Besides, the Onkyo speakers I was going to mount are plastic and from my experience, trying to attach something to this plastic is just asking for trouble later. The plastic is too thin and eventually due to the soundwaves and vibration, it will work itself loose.
These would probably be great for speakers that have a wood back or no other method for mounting.

5 out of 5 stars For the price, AWESOME   January 18, 2008
I wanted an inexpensive 5.1 mount that was easy to install and attractive. That is what I got. I mounted the front surround straight forward and the rear surrond angled at 90 degrees towards the listeners. Very easy. Inexpensive but not cheaply made.

I ordered these on Dec. 8, as a gift for Christmas. I paid extra for an "expedited" shipment, as I needed it by Dec. 21, when we were leaving for our celebration. The projection was that I would receive it by Dec. 12. The shipment was "missent" and I never knew when it might arrive. Everyday when I tracked shipment, the expected date would change to a later date. According to my post office, it finally arrived on Dec. 24, but by then our mail was being held. No present for Christmas. When we finally got the package, it was exactly what we wanted.

3 out of 5 stars It works but not great   December 29, 2007

The product works in holding small satellite speakers. However, the quality is not great. The nuts and bolts don't fit very well with one another. I need to make many twists before they can fit to the key hole of the speakers (Onkyo SR-800). You get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 stars good for the money   October 22, 2007

These mounts work great. My only complaint with them is that since they are plastic, if you overtighten one of the bolts you'll ruin the mount. They come with plenty of mounting options depending on the speakers you are installing. I bought these mounts for an onkyo system and the speakers are roughly 6" by 10" and these mounts work great. They include all the hardware you would need to secure them to the speaker and the wall itself.

These mounts helped finish off my new home theatre room with the look of a professional instalation.
