4 out of 5 stars Nice product even though the mouse function not very smooth   August 23, 2008
After Delta lost my luggage with two laser pointers, it was time to go buy new ones, and I decided to try something more sophisticated - not just a pointer but a remote control device for my PC.

On this PLUS side, this device looks good, feels good in the hand, and takes moments to install. The laser pointer is fine, the PowerPoint clicker is fine, and the power consumption seems satisfyingly low.

On the MINUS side, remote mouse control is nowhere near as smooth as with a regular mouse or touchpad. It feels a bit crude.

I will continue to use this device and maybe will post another review after I've had more exprience with it.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent and has mouse function!   February 6, 2008
This was an office purchase for my boss. He loves it! Easy to use, works no matter where he stands in a room, and BONUS mouse function. He likes to change screens, so this works great. And, I no longer have to standby to change the slides/screens. The other review about the box is spot-on. Comes in a nice, sturdy box with foam cutouts. I kept it to carry the pointer and USB port in my laptop carrying case. It's all in one place and won't get damaged.

5 out of 5 stars Easy to use; Long Range   September 28, 2007

I bought this for my wife to use in her classroom. It requires no drivers, so you don't need administrative access to the PC. It works anywhere in her large classroom. Unlike a typical "presentation remote" this also works as a full-functioned mouse - handy if you want to use it for more than just presentations.

The only thing that this one lacks is internal storage for the USB dongle. This is more of a factor for people that are frequently traveling with the device. It does come with a nice carrying box, but may not be the most convenient package for business travelers where size is an issue.

Turning the laser on requires a easily-learned, but not obvious, button sequence. This is great for classroom use since she can use the laser, but students can't play with it easily.

1 out of 5 stars Be careful if you have a Mac   September 12, 2007

This product claims to be compatible with Mac, but it didn't work with mine. I have an IBook OSX 10.4.10, and when I plugged the receiver into my USB port, nothing happened. I am not sure if this item was defective, or simply not compatible with my operating system. Beware, and make sure that you can return this if you buy it. I'm disappointed that I wasted the money on shipping for this.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product. Super Price.   September 8, 2007
I ordered this after looking around the internet for a reasonably priced presenter with a mouse. The reviews on Amazon helped me decide to buy this and I am not disappointed. Tiger Direct is a great company to buy from and they ship immediately. I am completely satisfied and recommend this to others.

Pros;Price, options, ergonomics, ease of use,
Cons; The mouse button takes some getting used to but after all it is not supposed to be a mouse.
