5 out of 5 stars great golf course aid   July 25, 2008
A great thing to have to know just where to aim the little white ball...selected this one based on other reviews..

5 out of 5 stars Great GolfLogix   July 24, 2008
I have been very happy with my GolfLogix. It is everything that was promised. I have used it on five different courses and found it to be very exact. I would recommend it to anyone.

1 out of 5 stars All around bad product   July 24, 2008

All around bad product. The three major courses I play in Anchorage, AK are poorly mapped by GolfLogix. Many, if not all, of the major hazards were not mapped. The format for the hazards that were noted on the unit were not useful as the distance to carry the hazard was not given. The software would jump to an adjacent hole and I could not get the unit to return to the hole I was playing, then to advance to the next hole in play I would have to reset the unit.

The unit locked up repeatedly and would not turn off with the power button so it could be reset. I had to remove the batteries to reset the unit.

I returned the unit and bought the Skycaddi SG5. I am extremely pleased with the Skycaddi SG5 and would not recommend the Golflogic unit.

5 out of 5 stars Simple - love it   July 23, 2008
I chose this product because it sounded simpler than some of the others out there. I love that I just turn it on and page through to find the course I'm at from the ones I've downloaded, then it does the rest, automatically scrolling from one hole to the next. I was worried that having "only" 6 features per hole would be limiting, but it has been fine. It has the key traps, doglegs, etc., that I need to take into account in choosing my club. With this on my bag, I play much faster, and I'm making different strategic decisions at times since I have more (and more accurate) information to go on. My only problem with the GolfLogix is that I have trouble getting it back from family members who like to borrow it!

4 out of 5 stars Works for me   July 20, 2008

I find the Golflogix -2008 accurate enough for me. In fact I think I have broken 90, 3 of the last 4 times I played because of it.

Two shortcomings should be overcome by Garmin- For no apparent reason, the unit would sometimes revert back to the first hole. I have to scroll through to get back to the hole I am playing.

Secondly, compared to the golf caddie, it seems that distances to and over sand and water is limited - adding more course info that we can scroll through would be helpful.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the help I get from this product.
