GREAT SOUND AND SUPER EASY TO CONNECT May 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was looking for something to help me stop making CD covers and CD copies. I wanted to play directly from the PC in all of the house. And it works with the Xmod wireless! Easy to install and very good sound! No regrets at all! Great sollution and no cables nothing! Very easy as well as you can disconnect each room seperatly as well. So very flexible as well! GREAT BUY!!!
Excellent Way To Play Music From Your PC on Your Home Theater May 22, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just got this cool gadget. very easy to set up. I did it without reading the instructions. excellent music quality. With all the problems with devices using Wi-Fi to play music from PC on home theater having a dedicated wireless solution makes sense. You can buy additional receivers to expand the system. we love listening to internet radio on our home theater.
I guess i'll keep it April 18, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
In short: not so bad of a product. The x-fi works for most of the music that I have. I've tried it with winamp and WMP, and I found it working better with the media player (the remote works for most of the functions). Streams without delay. Nice design and good range. Cons: only two channels (some might find it limiting), plastic scratches sooo easily, loss of volume, should have a configurable remote, takes some time to figure how to work it, useless surround effect, but the worst part: it fights with my wireless. I have learned to live with this "effect", when I use it I usually watch dvd's and listen to music, but sometimes my wireless (hawking rooter)goes completely down with this thing on. Back to pros: price, expandability.
Bad reviews of products I own always confuse me. February 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a truly plug and play solution. No drivers, no software, no special media players, nothing. Plugged them in - one to my laptop via USB and one to my old Bose 501 system via 3.5mm stereo jack. Boom - everything works, everything sounds OK. Played my Yahoo Launchcast, played my Windows Media Player, no problems. My only complaint is why aren't the remotes RF? Why would you use IR remotes on something that you should be able to tuck away and never see again? That said, the RF remote on my Bose stereo is all we really need. After playing with it a while, I broke out the instructions to make sure I wasn't missing anything cool. Nope, nothing to miss, the whole process took me about 5 minutes and 4.5 of them were to unpack the thing. I use this system for the Muzak in our showroom, and to rock out when we are closed. I'd highly recommend this system to anyone wanting to broadcast your computer music to your stereo remotely.
can't beat it for the price February 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First off, this product is incredibly easy to setup. Everything just worked right off the bat. About the only hitch was I had my transmitter placed to close to my lap top which caused interference, but Creative did a great job of communicating this limitation. Sound is crystal clear and the device is attractive and compact. I plan on buying additional receivers for the bedroom, the kitchen and den. BTW I plan on using 2.1 computer speakers since they give great sound and are very affordable. I strongly recommend Logitech speakers since they always have great sound and build quality.
