Great!!!!!!! October 1, 2008 I am directionally challenged, nice way to put it. I bought this because I was making a trip to NYC with my daughter and granddaughter. Let me tell you, this product was right on the money. Well worth what I spent. We did not have a single problem getting to NYC and we did not have a paper map, only Garmin! Another great feature is that when we wanted to leave, I just had to push the "Go Home" button and it mapped it out for us. Going home I did make a wrong turn (my fault, not Garmin's) and it immediately recalculated the new route. Once again, got us home without any problems. I would highly recommend this product for anyone. We had fun playing around with the voices. I can't think of anything else to add to it. It comes with so much information. Absolutely love it!
Garmin nuvi 350 GPS September 30, 2008 Unit works like a charm, BUT despite having been ordered on 8/26/08 (new unit from Amazon) it came with last year's (2008) map when the 2009 is out. Amazon offers the choice of either a $29.99 refund or return for full refund or replacement. I just want the latest map.
not very good a map September 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The map is not very new I think. It made several mistakes since I used it for one month.
Over priced September 30, 2008 The Garmin Nuvi 350 is over priced, and the sad thing is that 260 has a nice option that is missing here which is to connect to the PC as USB GPS. I can't find a way to customize the map for private roads inside my community. but generally it is OK. a nice thing is that you can send locations (POI) directly from LiveEarth directly to your device. MP3 player is nice I'd like if it had an MPEG4 player as well to entertain my son, and an elecrtonic compass would be a fancy thing to have too :).
It's good to know the way September 30, 2008 We purchased a Garmin nuvi 350 when my wife and I learned we needed to make an emergency trip to Los Angeles. We are totally unfamiliar with the area, and were going to be making stops all over the area due to a family emergency. We purchased the Garmin a week before the trip, tried it out in our part of Oregon, and then entered all the addresses that we would be required to visit in Los Angeles. It works like a charm. Never lost. Text to speech is a great option, calling out the names of streets we would be turning on. The Garmin led us to restaurants from the internal directory, and even a post office. Very easy to use, always gets you to your location. Just try going the wrong way, and it will come up with a revised route to get you to your destination. Great buy!
