excellent product December 30, 2006 First of all, amazon.com does the fastest online shipping I have ever had, so fast and they even call you one day before it arrive.
the product itself is a hassale free and fun thing to have. I love the BlueBooth, it function so well, you get connected just in seconds. the voice is loud enough, and people can hear clearly. and the great thing is that it can even upload your phone book wireless and call history in seconds, no manu needed.
The car mount works very good, easy to put on and take off, absoultly no problem at all.
This is something you need to have!
Very happy with this purchase. December 29, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I almost bought the newest model, but after reading all the reviews - I decided to save some money and purchase this model. I am not sorry -- this GPS is great. Acquires signal quickly, works perfectly with the FM Transmitter (purchased separately), plays MP3 files and audio books, etc. I highly recommend.
Simply amazing little gadget December 29, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been playing with my Nuvi 360 for about a day and I really like this device. The software is superb and it does everything that all the reviews are raving about. The housing is small and sleek and the screen is sharp and definitely large enough. I was able to pair my Treo 650 (cingular) with some difficulty but now it is working great and you can dial any POI on the Nuvi while the devices are paired. The suction disk seems surprisingly secure and I would refrain from buying another holder until you see how nicely it mounts with the included bracket. This devise makes the magellan look like a 1974 paper atlas and the software (and general coolness factor) simply are better than the Tomtom. I am really happy I spent the extra bucks for a Garmin.
Addendum: Feb 4, 2007; Still love this device. Some have commented that the volume was too low when used as a bluetooth. I just upgraded the firmware to version 3.4 off the Garmin website. This markedly increases the volume of the bluetooth/phone feature of the device which is helpful. It will not increase the volume of the GPS voice when recieving directions. The upgrade is very easy- just follow the instructions on the website.
It's Idiot proof December 28, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's only been a couple of days but so far so good. I am amazed at the ease of use and accuracy of this Garmin 360.
No fancy antenna to worry about. I can lay it right on the middle console below the radio and it picks up satellite signals just fine. If you take a wrong turn or decide to try a different route then the one offered, it recalculates in seconds, and tells you which way to go based on your current position and heading.
Really pleased with this product so far.
It isn't often I'm surprised ... or impressed ... December 27, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
but color me both when it comes to this little gem. I guess I always eye "rave" reviews a bit skeptically, since I am such a nitpicker when it comes to gadgets. I always find SOMETHING that could be done better or easier. With the Nuvi 360, however, I'm stumped. As far as I am concerned, it's a near perfect little device.
This is the first GPS I've owned, though I've used plenty over the years (especially when renting vehicles on business) ... based on the writeups and reviews, I thought this thing would give me the best bang for the buck. I've had it a whole 2 days, and driven 300 miles with it (around the Metro Detroit area) and so far, it's been perfect. Set up was a cinch, the routing has been flawless (and I've been testing it on a lot of relatively remote destinations), and the POI index for my area is unbelievably complete.
More impressive is the Bluetooth options. I have a Verizon Motorola v710, which is not listed as a compatible device (shocker ... Verizon's bluetooth implementation is notoriously crippled). But I managed to get my device paired almost flawslessly, and it appears to be totally compatible after applying the most recent bluetooth update from Garmin's site. Only catch is I had to have my cell phone find the Garmin, and the Nuvi wouldn't locate my cell (even on find me mode). Just used the "handsfree>add" option. I asked for the BT model figuring I'd be upgrading my cell soon, and now I don't even have to.
All in all, I'm darn near eager to hit the road for work again. This thing makes travelling fun, and for the navigationally challenged like me, it's going to save me a ton of time printing and searching on Google Maps every time I have a morning meeting at a client site.
