 AWESOME PRODUCT January 24, 2008
I bought this product because of it's good rating. I was very afraid to buy it thinking it was going to be as bad as the other ones I've bought, but this one is very accurate and it's awesome! I'm very happy with my purchase. Even my husband (who didn't want to buy one) loves it. He uses it more than I do, lol.

I had this scale for about a year, and then it stopped working. There were no loose wires; I replaced the batteries; I shook it trying to get it to work. I tried for a couple of weeks. It was dead. I would not buy again. At the time, it was more expensive. But, even at the lower price, you don't want it to be a yearly expense.
I am buying a lower cost model, without the "hi-tech" fat monitor. If it dies after a year--no problem, but the simpler design means there is less to go wrong.

All I get when I try to use this scale is an error or no response at all. I have only been able to get it to report simply weight once. And I hate the onerous requirement that you need to be nude to use it and you should weigh early in the evening. Oh, and you have to be completely dry. Not that I could even get it to work on that front any how. Yes, the batteries are fresh. But it just isn't reporting anything. No info on how to troubleshoot the problem. I am returning this scale.

This is my second Tanita Scale, the first we purchased app. 10 years ago and were very happy with the accuracy and dependability of the unit. After years of good service it finally failed and being without a duo scale was not acceptable so we purchased the Tanita BF680W. We have used it for app. a month and find it just as good as the first Tanita. Now that we are in the Holiday Season, with parties and all, you may not be completely happy with the weight displayed, but you can be confident the readings are accurate
