what an amazing product. I have used alot of things trying to straighten my hair but this iron is far superior. My hair is like curly frizzy straw, I use this iron and the chi silk infusion and my hair becomes straight and silky without looking greasy.. Thank you Chi!!!!!

I just went through my second Chi in two years . . . very disappointed. I loved how the product handled but it didn't last long for the price you pay (my conair curling iron has last 10+ years!). . . the first one I had broke with a week left on the warranty so I called and they said to send the product back in with $15 for processing (on top of the shipping I had to pay to send it in), then after almost 5 weeks I received a new one but they DOWNGRADED me from a 2" to a 1" because they were out of stock. They did not send an explanation (beyond the invoice that had a small notation about it being out of stock) or apology . . . I guess they thought they could just slip in a cheaper/smaller one and I wouldn't notice! Nice.
I called to ask about it and they said I could send it back (paying the shipping again!) and I could wait for the 2" but they did not know when it would be in stock again (way to go manufacturer) - I didn't want to wait another 5+ weeks for the originally I bought so I just asked for some other products to make up for the price difference - they sent me (basically samples!) of their shampoo and conditioner, which sucks too.
Humph . . . and btw the 1" they sent me just broke - just a year later!

Bought this for my teenage daughter and she loves it, beats anything you can buy in the stores. Saves many hours in the bathroom
 The straightener broke less than 3 months after purchase September 3, 2008
I don't recommend this product because I purchased it in May and it broke in August. I tried to contact Farouk to get a replacement but the warranty is void for straighteners purchased over the internet. However the good news is that Amazon will replace the product.
To save yourself the hassle of all of this, I recommend you purchase a straightener from another brand.
Great Upgrade September 2, 2008
My girlfriend's classic chi blew a couple of months ago so I decided to surprise her with the chi turbo. After reading reviews I found that the chi turbo is great for women with thick and/or a lot of hair. I don't know the specifics of straightening hair, but I do know TIME. Her hair is the way she wants it in about half the time it took her with the classic chi. I've also noticed her hair stays straight for a longer period of time. She was happy with the classic chi, but she's even more happy with the turbo chi.
