| Customer Reviews:
Great Curls July 25, 2008 I was really pleased with this product. I read some of the other reviews, so I was concerned the pins wouldn't hold my hair. I have absolutely no problem with these. I also like being able to set the heat factor. I have really thick fine hair that takes forever to blow dry and style, so to be able to just throw it up in curlers while I do my makeup is great. Since my hair is very heavy, I do use a styling product to get the curl to stay in. It also doesn't damage the hair the way the old products did.
I have used hot rollers for many years July 3, 2008 Having used electric hot rollers for many years, I needed to find a set that had bigger rollers, did not catch and break my hair, and heated quickly. I found all 3 in this Conair set. Other reviewers have commented that the case is fragile - I am used to that and therefore treat it delicately and I know it will be just fine. When traveling, just be careful how you pack it. I have very fine hair that is below my shoulders and I tend to use a lot of the rollers just to gain some body - if I leave them in around 10-15 minutes, I get nice body and some curl. I love the foam cushioning which is very comfortable and my hair is easy to curl around the rollers. All in all, this is a very good product, easy to use and I can see it would work on many hair types. It does take some experimentation to get the right tempature setting and the length of time needed to get the desired result.
Conair Hot Rollers June 27, 2008 I found this Conair Instant hair set of rollers very nice but as I'm disabled I found that I needed my caregiver to work with them....She prefered the curling iron which is faster for her.
Also don't like the fact that there was no street or city/state address so just returned them to Amazon.com but felt uneasy about this..until I got a response that they were received by Amazon.
At the postoffice I tried to get a delivery confirmation but was told they don't do this without a regular address... Just a suggestion I think most people would prefer a regular address to send back returns.
Thanks anyway
Betty
Excellent - particularly for fine hair March 24, 2008 This roller set is excellent - a setting to control the temperature, 20 rollers in three sizes, a velour-type covering on the rollers to protect fragile hair. They heat up very quickly and set the hair within a few minutes. If tighter curls are desired, the rollers work very well with damp hair (dampening each section as it is rolled). This newer roller set from Conair is almost identical to their older model but with the improvement of the temperature control and also a lighter weight design.
Good, fast ,curls of all sizes March 19, 2008 I like these rollers. I was wary because of the lid comments, so I wasn't sure if I would be pleased. I found the lid to be just fine. Just know that you probably will never travel with them; it's a big set of rollers! I like the fact that the lid stays affixed to the rollers. (One less thing to clutter my space.)
My complaint is, why don't these companies build in a slot for the clips? I have trashed perfectly adequate electric rollers in the past when I couldn't find their clips. This set comes with a small fabric envelope, made to hold the clips.
I guess the temperature gauge would be useful to some, but I just leave it on the 'high' setting.
